Last Day of School

Today is Hannah's last day of 2nd grade!! She had an awards assembly we went to, and she got an award for Outstanding Effort for All Her Assignments. Her teacher said she is a really hard worker. We're proud of Hannah. She was already doing 3rd grade work in writing and language arts. Math, well it is not her best subject, but she is on grade level. She also achieved her AR (Accelerated Reader) goal. That is where she reads books on an AR list at a certain reading level and then she writes a report on it, and then she takes a computer test on it, and then she gets awarded points. After they get a certain # of points then they move to the next level. Anyway Hannah met her goal and we are proud of her. Her teacher gave the AR students a pizza party, and her principal made them a pancake breakfast. To say goodbye she gave her a teacher a homemade card she made all by herself, she used my stamps on it, and then drew a picture in it, and then wrote a little message for her teacher. It turned out really cute, I wish I took a picture of it. She also included some chocolate, which her teacher loves. Hannah sure had a lot of fun this year and we are sad Los Padres is closing, but Hannah is very ready for summer vacation.
