For kindergarten Heather had to make up a Native American name, and a totem to go with it. Her teacher said it had to be something that they like to do or that describes them and something from nature. She came up with Walking Giraffe, Bike Riding Deer, and Racing Deer. She picked Racing Deer in the end. This is her totem for Racing Deer. We finished it up and then Heather says, "wait it needs tennis shoes since I am Racing Deer". So we had to put shoes on it, that is what the red box at the bottom is...
That kindergarten class sure was creative... lots of butterflies and eagles though. Heather's was my favorite of course, but my next favorite was her little friend who was Screaming Rabbit.
